Music, Expression & Wellbeing
Sometimes music opens ways to say what matters.
Music can be something we listen to.
It can also become a way to express what is difficult to put into ordinary words, reconnect with ourselves and other people, or simply slow down enough to be fully present for a moment.
Alongside my work as a songwriter and performer, I create and facilitate musical experiences built around songwriting, voice, improvisation and shared creativity.
Some are designed around expression and connection. Others around presence and wellbeing.
Often, the two naturally meet.
Music as a way to express, connect and find balance

Creative Expression and Community
Shared experience where music and storytelling help overcome difficulties
A song can give shape to an emotion, a story, a question or an experience — and make something deeply personal recognisable to somebody else.
I create participative songwriting and music workshops where people can explore what they want to express through words, rhythm, melody, voice and shared music-making.
Musical experience is not the point.
Expression is.
These workshops can support creativity, confidence, communication and social connection, and can be adapted for community groups, young people, neurodivergent participants and organisations working around mental health or social issues.
Sometimes the result is a song.
Sometimes what matters most is what happened while creating it.

Immersive Music & Wellness
Sound, voice and presence
I also create participative musical experiences for retreats, wellness events and conscious gatherings.
Using intuitive guitar, voice, ambient soundscapes and improvisation, I respond to the people, place and atmosphere and allow the music to develop in the moment.
Depending on the context, an experience may also invite simple practices involving breath, humming, voice, silence, meditation or shared singing.

My background in energy work, and guided inner work informs the way I hold these spaces — helping people settle, become present and participate without pressure — while music remains at the centre of the experience.
These sessions can stand alone or be created alongside yoga, meditation, movement, visual art, storytelling or other wellness practices.
They may be quiet and contemplative, playful and participative, or move naturally between listening and creating together.

Music Through Difficult Times
A creative language when words are not enough
There are moments when creative expression may become particularly valuable: illness, bereavement, major change, isolation or periods when ordinary conversation feels insufficient.
Songwriting can offer another creative language through which people may remember, express, connect and make meaning from difficult experiences — alongside, not in place of, appropriate therapeutic or clinical support.
I am particularly interested in developing songwriting and creative music projects in collaboration with healthcare, mental-health, and community professionals around themes as :
grief and loss · illness and recovery · mental health · life transitions · isolation · identity and belonging
If you work within a healthcare, support or community organisation and would like to explore what such a project might look like, I would be happy to start that conversation.

Music, Expression and Social Change
What if we could turn what hurts into something we can share ?
Music can also create a space for experiences that are not only personal.
Anger. Exclusion. Violence. Belonging. Identity. Inequality. Environmental anxiety. Hope. The future of a community.
Rather than telling people what to think about these questions, I am interested in helping them create from what they actually experience.
A collaborative project might begin with conversations, stories, emotions or questions and gradually turn them into lyrics, songs, spoken word, improvisation and performance.
The people involved do not simply become participants in somebody else’s project.
They become its authors.
This approach can be developed with community organisations, artists, educators or social initiatives and may lead to a workshop, a series of sessions, a collective song or a larger performance project.

Create the Space together
Every group, place and moment is different.
A project might be a single participative session, a series of songwriting workshops, an immersive musical journey, a retreat experience or something developed with other artists, facilitators or professionals.
I do not begin with a programme that has to be delivered in exactly the same way everywhere.
I begin by listening to the people I am working with and asking:

What do we want music to make possible here?
Expression, connection, confidence, presence ? A way to tell a story ? A moment of collective creativity ?
From there, we can create the right form together.
